Even if you have a WordPress blog, chances are that, like most of them, they're not formatted so that search engines can catalog them. Here are several methods to making your WordPress blog visible to search engine databases.

6. Get the Google XML Sitemaps plugin installed - This will help you get search engines to put more pages of your blog in their rankings, increasing the number of times your site is ranked. Using this plugin, your blog will have a sitemap that can help organize your pages.

7. Get backlinks for your site - The best way to get your ranking higher is to accumulate back links. You'll have a much harder time getting a substantial number of people to see your website from search engines. By doing press releases, social bookmarking, directory submission, posting on forums, blog comments, and link exchanges among other methods, you'll leave trails leading to your blog.
